WILL RIPLEY, GUITARIST & INSTRUCTOR
Since earning his stripes from the Berklee College of Music’s Canadian affiliate school (The Selkirk College) Will’s toured, performed and recorded with real life rockstars.
Will taught his first guitar lesson 18+ years ago, and since then, he has been producing some of the most popular and impactful guitar tutorials available on the internet.
As the mastermind behind Campfire Guitar Star and a collaborator with heavyweights like Guitar Mastery Method, TrueFire, JamPlay, and Guitar Control, Will has returned to the roots of his personal brand, "Will Ripley Guitar" delivering his most powerful content to date.
Here, he operates with the heart of a “Mom and pop” store with a personal touch that larger companies simply can’t match. It’s in this space that he passionately shares his knowledge to the aspiring guitar player.
Even now, Will remains deeply involved in the music scene, actively writing, recording, and performing with his current musical endeavor, "Mount Rushka," which he proudly deems his "best band yet". Showcasing Will’s guitar prowess, the band is in the process of recording a full-length album with the expertise of Brian Moncarz whom has recording credits with Alice Cooper, Phillip Sayce and Our Lady Peace.
Beyond his music career, Will embraces the role of a devoted father to Smith and Venice. Alongside his wife, Lindsay, he nurtures their family in the picturesque town of Fernie, B.C, nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Will's launched his new brand and "The Rip It Up Club"Â and is ready to take on 2024!Â
WILL’S PHILOSPHY AND APPROACH TO TEACHING
"Will's journey in music education didn't begin with the label of a 'natural' or a 'quick study.' In fact, he walked away from guitar lessons during his teenage years and faced the looming possibility of dropping out of Music College after facing several humbling failures during his first semester.
It was within these adversities and amidst the overwhelm of new guitar information in which he forged a learning path—one he yearned for during his early days as a guitarist. Over the years of providing 1-on-1 lessons, Will's teaching methods evolved into highly effective systems, eventually leading him to venture into the realm of online education with the creation of his first online launch in 2013. From its inception, he has meticulously honed and elevated his systems, continuously refining, optimizing, and streamlining each component.
This unwavering commitment has resulted in the long overdue conception of 'Will Ripley Guitar,' a guitar lesson platform that stands out as quite possibly the most effective platform for mastering Rock Guitar available on the internet today.

I ALMOST QUIT GUITAR LESSONS AS A TEENAGER, AND NEARLY DROPPED OUT OF MUSIC COLLEGE AFTER JUST 3 MONTHS… THOSE BRUTAL EXPERIENCES LED ME TO DEVELOP POWERFUL GUITAR SYSTEMS WHICH I’VE BEEN EFFECTIVELY SHARING FOR 18 YEARS
As you would guess, Will’s been in a lot of bands and played a lot of shows… Mount Rushka is what Ripley refers to as his “best band to date”.
Nestled in the rugged beauty of Fernie B.C (a town once home to the guitarist of Rush), Mount Rushka is a Rock solid group with Will and 2 other members living on "Mount Trinity ave", with a neighbour, "Mrs. Rushka", residing directly across the street from where the band jams and records.
With both a 5-song EP released and an 11 song LP on track for early 2025, the band has been busy chiseling out their own “Mount Rushmore of Rock”. The music transports listeners to an era where rock 'n' roll reigned supreme, showcasing the timeless influence that Blues and Country had on the Classic Rock of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. However, there’s a distinct edge to Mount Rushka's sound, echoing the spirit of the grunge era, reflecting the intensity and heaviness of the 1990s.
Working with Brian Moncarz (Canadian production royalty), Mount Rushka shares their sound locally through sold-out shows, and tours throughout BC and Alberta building a foundation of die hard followers and passionate Rock music fans. #DownRightRock
